Mind, Body, Spirit

Treating the whole person

At Serenity Health we promote overall well being of the mind, body and spirit. We provide a full therapeutic programme to encourage you to develop a more positive approach towards your health and general overall well being.

In order to find balance it’s important to nurture the person as a whole. Many people visit the Doctor in the hope of  “getting better” they are possibly given medication to relieve the symptoms or mask the pain. However, they are not treating the core issue relating to causing the dis-ease. The mind is an internal sensory organ that enables us to sense internally. Our thoughts are responsible for our feeling so if the mind and body are not working in unison it will affect the person ability to heal and recover internally. Whist medication can be life saving and a necessity for some, it does not treat the person as a whole.

A Serenity Health we offer a range of treatments to address the unique needs of each person as an individual. Our holistic treatment programme treats the person as a whole, mind, body and spirit. We incorporate a variety of traditional and non-traditional healing therapies, yoga, meditation, acupuncture, stress management techniques, talk therapies, massage and nutrition all play a part in our programme of recovery.

It is without doubt that the power of the mind is exceptional and how we think directly impacts on how we look, feel and act. Positive thinking has a powerful uplifting effect on the body. It requires you to use your thoughts and feeling to find your way forward instead of being held back by negative attitudes and beliefs. A positive outlook on life can free the mind body and spirit. It is important to take time out daily to maintain you’re positively.

Generally how we take care of ourselves over the years can affect our mind, body, spirit and us as a whole. There are certain lifestyle choices we can make to improve our general overall well being enabling us to live a more harmonious and balanced lifestyle.

It’s a fact that many of us neglect our physical and physiological health. It can be easy to forget to look after your mind and body and often it gives out signs to make us aware that our health and well-being requires attention.

It is important to make time for yourself and reflect on your emotions at regular intervals throughout the day. Personal reflection enables you to explore your inner thoughts and feeling and discover a new sense of self. This will ensure you stay mindful of your feelings and keep you focused and grounded. Be kind to yourself, listen to your body and monitor it regularly.

Serenity Health has a range of professional qualified therapists working together as a team. All of our staff are passionate about recovery, our services are confidential and we are committed to providing the highest quality of care.
