Shiatsu

Shiatsu originated in Japan it is a hand-on traditional Japanese healing therapy. The aim of Shiatsu massage is to balance and re-store the body’s natural energy flow. Shiatsu massage treats the whole person rather than a specific conditions or symptom.
The body has twelve meridians, each of these meridians are linked to a body organ. Shiatsu massage stimulates energy points along these meridians thus re-storing healing by balancing the natural energy flow around the body.

The Practitioner will apply pressure to the meridian points using their body weight and sensory organs, palms, fingers, thumbs, elbows, forearms knees and feet. You will not be required to remove your clothes during the massage. Wear loose comfortable clothing, you may be asked to lie on the floor on a mat, this is to help relax muscles. Shiatsu incorporates pressure, rubbing, holding and stretching, it can be deep but techniques are performed sensitively.

Shiatsu is a deeply therapeutic and relaxing experience. Some common conditions eased include, menstrual problems, asthma, sports injuries, stress and emotional anxiety disorders, back pain , neck pain, muscular aches and pains, headaches amounts others.
